The bottom drawer contains a pamphlet from the late 1940’s explaining the mechanics of sex. For the start of post-WWII domestic life, my father gave this to his bride. Ivy wallpaper, referencing the domestic, lines the bottom drawer and a sepia transparency from a contemporary magazine advertisement shows a woman washing the house with soap. It is sandwiched between sheets of glass.
