In an exhibition context, these pieces were placed on short narrow shelves at waist level. Each has a related ‘pedagogical’ text or chart. The contents vary in colour and texture, as their placement in the series corresponds to given phases of ‘development’. The exteriors of the cartons are painted in deepening ‘flesh’ tones.
