This web site is set up as an archive of works I have done over a span of more than 20 years and as a trace of where I find myself now in my art practice.
My work base is Ottawa, Canada, where I have a studio and teach drawing. My work is motivated by an imperative to voice the things that are most important to me. I employ drawing to allow the piece I am working on to speak to me as I move along. The immediacy of the drawing process fascinates me through its inherent harmonic patterns and dissonances. My work evolves from an idea into an exploration of where the piece might go, how I might get there and what there is to be learned from doing it.
